My friend introduced me to epilating about 5 years ago. She had a double headed one from Spain it was amazing you could barely feel a thing. I searched for one similar everywhere and did some research that said the 40 dollar epilators do just as good as the more expensive ones. So I settled and bought a 40 dollar one, it did the job yes and I got use to how it worked (I usually waxed though since the epilator never removed every thing) Well it died about 4 months ago after, I decided that I wanted an epilator that would last and actually get the job done.
I went back to researching, I read so many reviews and many of you probably have and will. It is from my experience it depends on the person and the day that makes the review (I am having normal day.)
I decided in the to buy the Braun 7281 and crossed my fingers. Since I had grown use to my last epilator I was extremely surprised that this one felt so much better and barely noticed any pain; as well as I don't have to wax anymore saving so much more money now by spending more on the better epilator. But I decided I would give myself about 6 weeks and see how it did pain wise. It didn't feel the worst but it did sting for a few minutes and then I got use to it again. I must say that it still didn't hurt as bad as the 40 dollar one did and it still did just as good as a wax would. (Any epilator is going to sting if you haven't waxed or epilated in a 6 weeks +, I recommend waxing if you have sensitive skin before you jump back into epilating.) In the end I would even say this one is equal if not better then one my friend had and would recommend it to anybody. Added bonus is that it comes with many different tops as well as an electric razor.
If you are still on the fence about buying this one verses the 40 dollar one you have also been looking at. Buy the 40 dollar one first and in a few months when it dies, come back and buy this one. But if you want to save yourself time and money then make the jump and buy the Braun 7281 you won't regret it.
Also if you aren't familiar with how to use and epilator read the instructions it doesn't work like a razor and if you use it like a razor it will hurt. I feel it is the only reason people would complain about this epilator.

No pain and very easy to use, except this product is not for me since I have in grown hairs :( Sad....my friends who use this have no issues at all. I would still recommend it and use on places where I hate to wax.

I bought this as b'day gift for my girl friend. She liked it very much. This doesn't pain much, she is using epilators for the first time. This one does a great job, removes all the hair and no need to worry about re growth for a couple of weeks.
I would highly recommend it to others.
